Battle Scars Ministries, Incorporated Guiding Principles

Our Guiding Principles


  • We are a Grassroots-Mission and Service driven organization with a passion for educating and helping victims. 
  • We are committed and dedicated in, “Strengthening the Battered~ Mending the Broken~ and Healing the Bruised~ while breaking the cycle of domestic abuse ~one victim at a time.”  "Joy in One!"
  • We are focused in organizing community endeavors and initiatives to raise funds for Domestic Abuse Victims and those who are affected by the aftermath of DV/Abuse. 
  • We have established a safe space for Victims and Survivors to freely shop for gently used items at the "The BSMI Thrift Store," (the central hub of our organization), to assist in starting over or out of need.    
  • Fundraisers proceeds provides personal needs, services and resources that assist with victims who are “On The Run."  These funds are solely for victims who are caught up in fleeing and emergency situations (with proper vetting).  
  • We assist in providing forums, educational workshops, symposiums, women conferences, seminars, and retreats to Educate, Empower, Elevate, Encourage and to Inspire women.
  •  Our fundraising initiatives extends community wide that involves live productions, social events, banquets, luncheons, and social events.
  • Our year end community service project focus on domestic violence and abused victims who are homeless and are living on the streets.  We spend a day seeking out individuals and provide personal hygiene products, clothing items, books, food & personal development resources to victims and survivors on the streets.
